From extremely interactive to surprisingly traditional, the creative session of Tom and Vincent from Mediamonks will take you through the different phases of film and it's role in digital advertising. You’ll hear all about how film has been used to tell stories and how the integration of these filmed stories in online campaigns has totally transformed our business.

At MediaMonks film directors like Tom Rijpert collaborate with interactive directors like Vincent van de Wetering to create immersive experiences, that even though they're not linear retain their cinematic quality.

Bio's:

Bio Tom Rijpert - After graduating from the Utrecht School of Arts in 2010, Tom exercised his directing skills over the next couple of years, developing both personal films as well as commercial projects for brands like Bacardi and Hyundai. In 2012, his career took an exciting turn when he joined MediaMonks as their in-house director. Here, he focuses on character-centred narratives and storytelling, looking for the funny and emotional, the loveable and likeable in technically innovative productions. His latest work, The KLM Space Campaign and Geox: 7 Days of Rain, were both awarded with a Cannes Cyber Lion, the latter also winning the Promo & Activation Grand Prix at Eurobest.

Bio Vincent van de Wetering - Vincent started his 10-year term in the creative industries with a short stint creating webgames. Since then, his talents have warranted an array of roles including Animator, Illustrator, Lead Games Creative, and the odd hybrid ‘Creative Producer’.
